In April 1946, George Hruska first opened the door for business at Rockaway Auto Repair located where it still stands today at 133 West Main Street. With his determination and vision, he designed and built the repair facility and also built his first tow truck. Now, over 60 years later, Rockaway Auto Repair, Inc. is still thriving as George's son, Michael, has inherited the same passion for the business. Although George has passed on, the business has evolved and the strong traditions on which Rockaway Auto Repair was founded are still seen today.
