Heirloom Refinishing
Craftsmanship And Quality Are Never An Accident
Heirloom Refinishing - Furniture Stripping
We strip your furniture by hand only, using a solvent system made exclusively for us. We NEVER dip your furniture, use caustic solutions, acid baths or pressure washes.
Heirloom Refinishing - Sanding Furniture
We sand both by hand and machine. The purpose here is to uniformly prepare the wood for the next step which is staining and finishing.
Heirloom Refinishing - Our Work
This before and after photo is a fine example of our craft. It arrived directly from the Dominican Republic, a family heirloom built in the mid 1800's. It looked like a pile of rubble when it came into the shop. It is now enjoyed in the owner's home here in Morris County. It defines our goal of craftsmanship: sincere effort, principled intentions, intelligent direction and skillful execution.
We look forward to the opportunity to visit with you and evaluate your furniture. There is no charge for our visits and no obligation. Pick up and delivery are included in our service.
Heirloom Refinishing - Furniture Repair
We are fortunate to employ experienced and talented craftsman who can rebuild the simplest chair, carve the most ornate woodwork, and repair or replace missing veneer. In short, if it's made of wood it's highly likely we can solve the problem.
We also do all types of caning, rushing and weaving.
Heirloom Refinishing - Furniture Stain and Finish
All of our stains are custom made by us for each customer. We do not use prepared stains or prepared samples. Your furniture is our sample and you are the ultimate decision maker. Our catalyzed finish is the hardest, most durable, resistant professional finish available. It is not an off the shelf product, but one made specifically for us by a professional coatings company.
